'Beautiful, Determined' Westchester Native Dies At 38: 'Light In Everyone's Life'

A Fairfield County resident and Westchester native who was known for her love of new adventures is being remembered for her kind nature and ability to brighten the lives of those around her. 

Stamford resident and Cortlandt Manor native Marissa Minichetti died on Tuesday, April 11 at the age of 38.

Stamford resident Marissa Minichetti, formerly of Cortlandt Manor, died on Tuesday, April 11 at the age of 38, according to her obituary. 

Born in 1984 in Cortlandt Manor, Minichetti graduated from Pace University in New York and went on to study negotiation and conflict resolution at the University of Oxford in England. 

She then began a career as a medical device sales representative, joining Surgical Innovation Associates in early 2022. 

Always looking for her next adventure, Minichetti had a love of traveling and especially enjoyed relaxing on beaches and going on runs.

She was also an animal lover and could often be found next to her dog, Ava. 

Known as a "light in everyone's life," Minichetti was "beautiful, determined, kind and loving," her obituary said. 

She is survived by her mother, Diane; sister, Lauren; her brothers, Daniel and David; as well as numerous other family members. 

A service for Minichetti will be held on Monday, April 17 from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m. and 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Yorktown Funeral Home at 945 East Main St. 

A Mass of Christian Burial will then be held on Tuesday, April 18 at 10 a.m. at St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Church at 1377 East Main St.
